Since 2017 The Basenji Club of Northern New Jersey is dedicated to the preservation, protection, and promotion of the Basenji breed. We strive to:

• Promote health testing, genetic stewardship, and the long-term welfare of the breed.

• Uphold and advance the Basenji breed standard through responsible breeding and ethical practices.

• Support education for owners, breeders, handlers, and the public regarding breed history, health, temperament, and proper care.

• Encourage participation in conformation, performance, and companion events that highlight the versatility and natural abilities of the Basenji.

• Foster sportsmanship, mentorship, and camaraderie within the Basenji community.
